NAP Tax Credits - Available Starting July 1, 2010!  Back to Top

Mother Hubbard's Cupboard was awarded $9,765 in Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits from the State of Indiana to give away to donors from July 1, 2010 - May 2011. We sold out quickly last year, so claim your NAP credits soon!

Under the NAP program, when you make a gift of $100 or more, you are eligible to receive a credit against your state tax liability equal to 50% of your donation to us. This means that if you donate $1,000 under the NAP program, you can take a $500 credit on your Indiana tax form. This is a wonderful opportunity to give a generous gift to help the Cupboard provide wholesome, healthful food to low-income people in Bloomington while also choosing what work your tax dollars support.

To make a NAP contribution:

  • Make your check out to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. Checks must be dated July 1, 2010 or later and be for at least $100. Please write "NAP" in the memo line.
  • Fill out the top two sections of the NC-10 form and sign (download here)
  • Mail your donation and NC-10 form to us at: Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, 1010 S. Walnut Street, Ste. G, Bloomington, IN 47401.

All NAP donors will receive their NC-20 forms in the mail from MHC to file for taxes. If you have any questions about the NAP program and making a contribution to MHC contact Brooke at or 812.355.6843.
